Enerside’s new strategic plan to boost its portfolio of own projects to 300 million euros in value by 2026

THE COMPANY SHOW ITS STRATEGY FOR THE PERIOD 2025-2028

  • Enerside plans to invest more than €60 million over the next two years (2025-2026) to develop its portfolio of own assets and consolidate itself as an independent IPP power producer.
  • The company today has a portfolio of 6.6GW of solar PV and 2.8GWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
  • The Board of Directors has approved a capital increase by means of a monetary contribution, for a maximum amount of 20% of the share capital, which will be carried out in the near future.

Barcelona, 28 January 2025. Enerside, a Spanish company vertically integrated in the photovoltaic solar industry, has begun the profitable growth phase of its strategic plan with which it expects to boost its portfolio of own projects to €300M in value, obtain revenues of €60M from asset rotation and achieve a recurring EBITDA derived from the activity as an independent power producer (IPP) of more than 8 million euros in 2026.

The energy company has today presented to the market the third phase of its Impulsa plan, which focuses on profitable growth and gives visibility to its strategy for the 2025-2028 period.

Enerside’s strategic plan is based on three main pillars: the development of the current project portfolio of more than 7GW and increasing participation in battery projects (BESS) and in high-growth markets such as Italy; the rotation of assets in the Ready to Build phase and in COD (commercial operation); and the optimization of the capital structure and portfolio risk, with projects in operation to provide recurring cash flows.

After successfully passing the first two phases of its Impulsa plan, presented in January 2024, a year in which it focused on the refinancing of its debt, the incorporation of new investors and financiers and the transformation towards a more agile and efficient company, Enerside faces the next two years with a focus on the development of projects and the rotation of assets in mature phases.  as well as in the consolidation as an independent power producer (IPP).

For the period 2025-2026, Enerside has set itself the goal of reaching 2GW in Ready to Build projects, of which 1.5GW will be allocated to asset rotation. It also expects to have 40MW of renewable solar parks (PPIs) in operation by the end of 2026, of which 35MW have already been declared under construction. The company has already hired an investment bank to close the necessary financing. The investment planned by the company in this period is 60 million euros.

For the period 2027 and 2028, the company will focus especially on consolidating itself as an independent power operation (IPP) with an expected installed capacity of 300MW, which will provide it with recurring cash flows. Likewise, it will continue with its asset rotation strategy opportunistically to continue generating value for its shareholders.

“Enerside is today a more focused, simple and efficient company, ready to execute a new period of profitable growth, maintaining efficiency in all our operations,” explains its CEO, Joatham Grange. In this new phase of our Impulsa plan, we are focusing on our own assets that provide us with an attractive growth profile,” explains Joatham Grange.

Milestones in 2024

Enerside has evolved its portfolio of owned projects throughout 2024 and currently has 6.6GW of solar PV projects and 2.8GWh of battery systems, of which 61% are located in Europe, especially in high-growth markets such as Italy. The Company’s project portfolio is valued at more than €200 million, according to the independent valuation carried out by a Big-4.

The company has also sold 506MW of projects, as part of its asset rotation strategy once it has taken them to mature stages of development.

New capital increase
