MSCI includes the spanish company Enerside in its global smes reference index

THE COMPANY HAS BEEN DESIGNATED OF INTEREST TO INSTITUTIONAL INVESTORS

  • The inclusion of Enerside in the MSCI Global Micro CAP index, from December 1st, will allow it to continue increasing its liquidity and have access to new investors, especially institutional ones.
  • Enerside, which began trading just 9 months ago on BME Growth, is currently one of its members with the highest liquidity and market capitalization.

Barcelona, 28th November 2022. Enerside Energy, a Spanish company vertically integrated in the solar photovoltaic industry, has been included by MSCI in its benchmark global SME index, the MSCI Global Micro CAP index.

For Enerside, being included in the MSCI Global Micro CAP index is a milestone and a good opportunity to continue increasing its liquidity and give entry to new investors, especially institutional ones, due to this index being a reference for many institutional funds.

The MSCI Global Micro CAP index, which represents the performance of listed small-cap companies from developed countries worldwide, is one of the benchmarks relied on by the managers of some of the most important investment funds to build their sector funds. It is currently made up of stocks from 23 countries and covers 1% of the market capitalization adjusted by free float in each country.

The inclusion of Enerside in the MSCI Global Micro CAP index will be effective on December 1st, the date on which the semi-annual rebalancing of the MSCI indices takes place, one of the most important movements of indices that occurs throughout the year. Enerside, along with another company also in the renewable sector, will be the only two Spanish companies to join this prestigious index in this round.

Business plan compliance in 2022

Enerside multiplied its revenues by 9 during the first half of the year to €15.7 million. This result means the fulfilment of its business plan without carrying out the sale of any development, as foreseen in the IPO plan.

The company was the first company to debut this year at BME Growth, at the beginning of March, after carrying out a capital increase for €34 million and began trading with a market capitalization of €204 million.
