Enerside was founded in 2007 in Barcelona, where it maintains its headquarters, with additional offices in Madrid.

Spain has overtaken wind energy as the leading source of installed capacity, with solar PV representing 25% of the total. The country plans to reach 76 GW of solar capacity by 2030.

Enerside entered the Brazilian market in 2014 and has an office in Fortaleza, as well as teams in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte.

The country has also begun to actively promote battery storage projects, recognizing their key role in balancing the grid and enabling greater renewable energy penetration.
Enerside has operated in Chile since 2015, with offices in Santiago.

Chile remains a solar energy leader in Latin America, leveraging its high solar irradiation to expand its installed capacity and transition toward a cleaner energy matrix.
In recent years, Chile has promoted the development of battery storage systems, especially in hybrid projects that combine solar and BESS, as a key solution to ensure grid flexibility.
Enerside entered the Italian market in January 2022 through the acquisition of a portfolio of assets in partnership with a local partner.

Case Study
Renaico I & II

CO₂ Emissions Avoided per Year: 6,740.63 tCO₂e
Located in the city of Renaico, in the Araucanía Region, this is the first project developed, built, and operated by the company within Enerside’s IPP portfolio in Chile.
The projects have a capacity of 7.55 MWp and began operations in May 2023 (Renaico I, 50% of their capacity) and January 2024 (Renaico II, 50% remanent of their capacity), reaching Commercial Operation Date (COD) in March 2024 and operating normally since commissioning.
As of May 2025, the project has generated over 18.57 GWh of clean energy, injected into SAESA’s distribution grid for consumption by the local community (individuals, businesses, and public entities).
The project has contributed to the development of community initiatives and the creation of local jobs, both during the construction phase and the operational phase.
In addition, it is estimated that the project has resulted in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions of 6,740.63 tons of CO₂ equivalent per year, representing a small step in the fight against climate change.
